Trip Report – Las Vegas Day 6

If you want to start from the beginning, go HERE. For more trip reports, go HERE.

Our last full day in Vegas and we spent our morning slotting away at Park MGM. The beverage service was amazing here and the casino floor was buzzing but not crowded.

My observations of Park MGM have been largely positive this trip, and the opening of Eataly definitely liven this place up. When we were here last Summer, parts of the hotel were still under renovation and as a result, the casino was dead.

However, it is unlikely that we will stay here again as we thought the room was basic and the decor was not our taste (see room tour here)

Before we had a chance to eat, we were on a mission to find my birthday/promotion present. This brand had 9 locations on the strip (LOL only in Vegas) and we visited probably more than half this trip before finding it in stock at one of their store at the Fashion Show Mall. Also, we were only able to buy it because their VIP client special-ordered it in but changed his mind last minute. Thank you, Mr. VIP.

my first orange bag 😊

After the Fashion Show Mall, we sat down at a fun blackjack table at the Linq and left even & with a deck of cards. Everyone at the table, including the dealer, was Canadian 🍁

We then took a Lyft to the car rental center near the airport to pick up our Mustang Convertible for the road trip to Santa Monica tomorrow. We found the best deal with Alamo on Costco Travel this time. It was $180 USD for 3 full days with pick up/drop off at LAS.

After we picked up the car (which was easy by using the kiosk at the rental center), we drove to Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers for the first meal of the day. We have never heard of this before and it was nom nom!

Despite the restaurant being right outside of the South Premium Outlets, we didn’t visit because we planned on parking our car at Park MGM and walk over to the Caesars Palace for Celine Dion tonight. We bought the tickets as soon as she announced the end of her residency after 15 years. Eric and I sat separately as it was cheaper this way for front row seats on the 2nd Mezzanine.

The concert was AMAZING. I was surprised to find out how funny she was and of course, her singing was just… perfection.

On our way back, we stopped by Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. to pick up some take-out as we had our birthday reward on our Landry’s Select Club card.

This card has more than paid for itself over the 7 years we have had it – $25 one-time signup fee gives you a one-time $25 welcome reward and $25 birthday reward every year. The only downside is their limited locations in Vancouver, BC (only Boathouse) so we have mostly used it in Seattle and Vegas.

Goodnight Vegas, miss you already ❤️
