IKEA Poang Armchair

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I had good news to share about work. I am finally able to as it has been made public. I got a promotion at work and now has a direct report (who is amazing to work with). The new position comes with new challenges but I consider myself very lucky to be promoted during a difficult time like this. Eric and I didn’t really celebrate when I found out but hopefully, a staycation is happening in the near future now that the local economy is reopening slowly.

We also did a lot more furniture shopping than planned and ended up spending the entire Saturday assembling furniture. Most of the purchase was not planned but I am sure glad I said yes when Eric showed me the pieces as some either went up in price or went out of stock shortly after. I am happy with how everything turned out as well.

With Saturday gone, I was only able to make up for a little bit of studying on Sunday. I am a little behind schedule but still making good progress with just over a week to spare before the exam.

I was also feeling a little bit under the weather for a couple of days (yes, I was slightly worried it could have been COVID because paranoia) but I think it was just stress even though I was not entirely sure what I was stressed about. This really showed how important it is to take extra good care of yourself during a CPA module because your body reacts negatively under stress and exhaustion.

What Would I Do Different Next Week?

I am extremely behind on my reading so I, once again, need to pick up my pace if I want to meet my goal of 40 books this year.

I also didn’t get to work on my blogs as much as I wanted to last week since we went out every day so things will need to change this week. The Google ranking I got for 3DIAC last week also disappeared and even though I wasn’t sure why I think it is best to keep the posting frequency and quality so the momentum doesn’t stop.

I also started taking more photos during the week so I can add some visual aids to my weekly recaps.
