Monday Hour One Weekly Recap – Week #4 (1 month!)

I have officially been using the Monday Hour One technique for a month and I am happy to say it changed my life. You know the feeling you get when you feel like you are behind on everything (school, work, business etc)? Not only have I actually gotten more done, but I have also rarely felt like that in the past month.

I finished Valerie’s book on Saturday and was so glad I picked this book as it was inspiring and empowering even if you are not a woman suffering from imposter syndrome. I also completed the Goodreads 2020 Challenge I set for myself at the beginning of the year (to read 12 books in 2020) 7 months early (YEAAAA) so I reset the goal to 40. This means I will have to read on average 1 book per week. Currently, it takes me around 11 days per book I will need to step up my game.

I also realized I had completely forgotten about the MCs for my CPA assignment so I have to catch up on 2 weeks this week. Luckily, Week #8 has the least reading so I have 2 free mornings.

One last accomplishment had a bittersweet note – I had an emotionally rough morning on Saturday and Eric was out but I managed to pick myself up and got most of everything done. There was an inner voice telling me to just sloth all day and watch Netflix but I didn’t give in to that. Partially it’s because I felt I have a responsibility to follow my schedule.

What Would I Do Different Next Week?

I will update my morning ‘no time’ from 1 hour to 45 minutes as I found myself losing attention 45 minutes in and thought it will be a treat to take a break before transitioning into work. I am also starting a WordPress Course on Lynda.com and allocating 2 hours to it during the week.
